A loving remembrance of a true original was inspired by the passing of Kevin Ayers - a great loss to both rock and roll. The remainder of the show is padded with kooky musings from David Bowie, The Kooks and The Hold Steady and a heartbreaking break-up set containing Dear John/Joan odes by Bobby Womack, Rilo Kiley and Ryan Admas. And in the end - a difference of world views involving Rhinoceros, Boyd Rice and Socrates Drank The Conium!

"serviceable villain"

RFW

*The end of the controlled cacophony found on the original Beatles version of I Am The Walrus featured an excerpt from Shakespeare's King Lear which was added to the mono mix of the song directly from an AM radio that John Lennon was scanning in the studio. The broadcast that was used was from the BBC Third Programme, begins at Act IV, Scene VI, line 224 and ends with the disguised Edgar talking to his estranged and maliciously blinded father, the Earl of Gloucester after he kills Oswald, the Steward of Goneril. The Earl asks "What, is he dead?" and Edgar replies "Sit ye down, father, rest you."
