Transmission 15707

The rock-lore behind the two scantily dressed women on the cover of Country Life by Roxy Music is that Brian Ferry met the two beauties at a bar and proposed the idea of an impromptu photo session - which they accepted*! Whatever the real story might be, the photo certainly hit the nail on the head. We take a cut from this 1974 classic and add it to our Bittersweet set that also includes The Hoodoo Gurus, Galactic and Me'Shell Ndege'Ocello. Jarvis Cocker reveals his inner-pirate and we go live with a double bill of Streetwalkers and Muddy Waters. It's then off to France and Germany for our Electronique Traumspiel finale from Heldon and Herbert F. Bairy!

T15707 is a 58MB 128k mp3 1:03:25 in length made loud to be played loud!

"Oh my dear, every salted tear it wrings, bittersweet applause"

* I mentioned in the show that the two women on the Country Life cover struck an amazing resemblance to Jeannie and Susie Miller, two beautiful sisters I knew in the mid-70's in Boston. If I wasn't sure that it wasn't them, I would lay down a bet. Like many old friends, I have no idea where they are now. If you do, tell them to contact RFW!
