Blues in a name is the focus of today's show. Our family of songs that contain the word Blues in their titles, but that do not necessarily comply to standard blues changes include Julian Cope, AC/DC, Be Bop Deluxe, Comets On Fire, Grand Funk Railroad, Kasabian, Laura Nyro, Motorpsycho, Pink Floyd, Soledad Brothers, Sundial, White Stripes and Wolfgang Dauner! Listen, but do not go into the light. Stop where you are. Turn away from it. Don't even look at it. When I first reviewed today's selections, I sensed a strange musical quality as they blended together. Then things started to get weird. After recording it for the third time (the first two attempts were mysteriously interrupted), the result is by no means ghostly - just wonderfully eerie! Included is live Missus Beastly, Brian Eno, Talking Heads, Urban Verbs and an epic pulverizer from Pelican! Can RFW be haunted? It,s here!

Just as Stonehenge was constructed to perfectly align with the rising sun of the Summer Solstice, today's show was put together with the new season in mind. Not necessarily a set of summer songs, although we do get to Ray Gomez's cover of Summer In The City. It's more of a vibe thang. J.B. Lenoir, Skip James and Eddie Boyd all dish out the blues. Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Santana and Jeff Sipe with Paul Hannson & Jonas Hellborg blend passion and chops for a wild ride and Brian Wilson with and without The Beach Boys make it official. His name is synonymous with guitar playing of the highest caliber! Django Reinhardt was only around from 1910 to 1953, but during that time his innovation, technique and recordings cast his reputation in stone.
